Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of commercial construction projects in the Capital District region. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and/or coordinate Murnane Building Contractors personnel and resources
  • Assist in pre-construction efforts
  • Perform constructability reviews
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages, as well as oversee procurement process
  • Oversee cost control and change management systems
  • Prepare initial master schedule and oversee updates
  • Prepare monthly applications for payment
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction and pre-award
  • Review submittals, inspection and test data for compliance with specifications
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Superintendent
  • Oversee project close-out
  • Owner contact for post-construction, including warranty period

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent 5 to 10 years of industry experience.
